On May 15, Omnia had the pleasure of hosting a group of five car mechanic students and two accompanying teachers from Scalda College in the Netherlands.
The visit included a hands-on learning experience led by Omnia’s Auto Cove 2.0 development teachers, Antti Järvenpää and Juha Hämäläinen, who had thoughtfully prepared a comprehensive four-hour workshop focused on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). The session began with a theoretical overview, followed by a practical component in the workshop, where the students learned how to perform a static calibration of the front camera on a Volkswagen E-Golf.
The Dutch students participated with great enthusiasm and showed a keen interest in both the technical knowledge and hands-on practice. They were highly impressed by the tools, facilities, and teaching methods, and expressed genuine appreciation for everything they learned during the session.
The visit not only strengthened professional ties between the institutions but also provided valuable cross-cultural learning opportunities for everyone involved.
