Researchers at TTZ-EMO developing Battery Basic workshop for students

Understanding how batteries work is essential in today’s energy-driven world – and at the TTZ-EMO laboratory, preparations are in full swing to bring this knowledge directly to students and trainees.

As part of the AutoCoVe 2.0 project, research assistant Sebastian Gielinger is preparing a hands-on workshop titled “Battery Basics”. This initiative aims to give young learners a practical introduction to battery technology, focusing on essential topics such as charging and discharging processes and how these influence the lifespan of modern energy storage systems.

What sets this workshop apart is its innovative approach. The experimental set-up blends traditional measurement tools—like multimeters and measuring devices—with cutting-edge 3D-printed components. These components have been specially developed for use in vocational training environments, making complex topics more accessible and engaging for participants.
