Auto Cove’s coordinating partner Omnia’s ADAS specialist teacher Mr Antti Järvenpää has completed his development work with Advanced Driver Assistant system study modules. Antti has used more than 1000 hours to create an entity of study modules of ADAS systems from scratch.
Partners are finalizing their development work of 13 technical, 2 sales- related and 4 pathway study modules of the project this spring.
The study modules consist of 6 courses:
- Basics of Adas systems (8 modules)
- Wheel alignment Angles (4 modules)
- ADAS sensors (4 modules)
- Static calibration of ADAS systems (24 modules)
- Dynamic calibration of ADAS systems (4 modules)
- ADAS systems, how do they work (36 modules)
These courses consist altogether of 81 modules, each around 8 Electude pages, meaning the whole material volume around 640 Electude pages; around 320 A4 pages. There are theoretical text, quizzes, hundreds of photos and tens of videos in this material, which Antti has created.
All this material has been created in English and will be translated into all Auto Cove partner languages (Finnish, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, German, Dutch, Turkish and French) by Christmas 2026.
These ADAS modules have already been piloted and tested by automotive students and teachers from Finland, The Netherlands, Lithuania, France and Estonia.
The last ADAS three-days- workshop was held at Omnia in February 9-11th, 2026.
Altogether 11 students and 5 teachers from Estonian Tartu Voco and Finnish Omnia were participating in testing. Three of the student participants were female.
The workshop consisted of ADAS theory, calibrating demonstration sessions, practical exercises for participants and finally revising all learnt content on Electude platform with newly developed e-learning material.
There were three vehicles in the workshop for calibration: Skoda Enyaq, VW e-golf and Volvo V 90. The participants did static calibration of the front camera, radar, rear camera and 360 cameras. They also calibrated in Traffic Volvo V 90 . The calibration devices were Hella Gutmann and Bosch DAS 3000 device.
The piloting activities were supported by experienced automotive teachers. Special thanks go to Antti, Matti Rämö, Jan Borg and Petteri Laine for their valuable contribution to the training sessions and demonstrations.
