As part of the Erasmus+ Centres of Vocational Excellence project AutoCove 2.0, a piloting activity for the newly developed training modules on battery and charging technologies was successfully conducted at Aforpa CFA Jean Claude Andrieu in Paris, France, on 21–22 April 2026.
The pilot training focused on the “Battery and Charging Systems Technologies” modules developed by the Turkish partner team from İzmit Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi (IMTAL). These learning materials were designed to equip learners with up-to-date knowledge and practical competencies related to electric vehicle infrastructure and battery technologies—two rapidly growing areas that are shaping the future of the automotive industry.
During the two-day piloting event, 10 learners participated in a series of interactive learning activities that combined theoretical knowledge with practical applications. The training covered several key technical topics, including battery cell types, visual inspection of aged batteries, electrical measurements using multimeters, and the operation and characteristics of electric vehicle charging stations.
The piloting activity provided valuable feedback on both the technical content and the learning methodologies developed within AutoCove 2.0. By engaging learners directly in hands-on activities, the training demonstrated the importance of practical, industry-relevant education in preparing future automotive professionals for the transition towards electrified mobility.
The successful implementation of the pilot was made possible through the dedication and expertise of the Turkish teaching team. Special recognition goes to Erkan Doğan, Murat Yiğit Yılmaz, Emre Özer, and Metin Cansever, who developed the modules and supported their implementation. Their work contributed to the creation of innovative educational materials that were met with strong interest and positive engagement from both French learners and teaching staff.
The project team also extends its sincere appreciation to Manager Lydie Gosselin and Erasmus+ Project Coordinator Magali Menage for their warm hospitality, professional support, and excellent organisation of the event at Aforpa CFA Jean Claude Andrieu. Their contribution ensured a productive learning environment and facilitated successful international cooperation between the participating institutions.
This piloting activity represents another important milestone in the AutoCove 2.0 project, demonstrating how collaboration between European vocational education providers can support the development and testing of innovative training solutions. By bringing together expertise from Türkiye and France, the project continues to strengthen vocational excellence and contribute to the development of future-ready skills for the automotive sector across Europe.
